Racism Declared a Public Health Crisis

We’re so glad to hear the news out of the Jackson County Department of Public Health that a resolution has been passed declaring racism a public health crisis in Jackson County. This confirms what we’ve known, of course, but the recognition is the result of important work done by the department’s Cultural Humility and Social Diversity Team, and opens doors for us to do the work of combatting racism in our county in a new way. We’re excited to see what comes next.
